Cyberpunk is a sub-genre of the SF genre. Many in the SF world believe that it was heralded by Alfred Bester's two most famous novels The Demolished Man and The Stars My Destination. Your task is to take a look at what we have read up to this point in the novel through the lens of genre. In your small group, you must come up with a definition for cyberpunk and then analyze the novel based on how it stands up to the idea of being cyberpunk. Where does it fit the description very well and where does it fall short of achieving cyberpunk status?
